History

Louisiana-Pacific strives to be
environmentally responsible.  In
1999, Louisiana-Pacific Canada
Ltd. (LP), East River Plant,
commenced composting the mill
wood waste on a trial basis.
In 2003, LP obtained approval
from the Department of Environment
to continue to operate the Composting
Facility on a permanent basis.  The
East River Louisiana-Pacific Community
Environmental Liaison Committee was
officially formed that same year.

Our Mission – 

To provide up to date, clear and concise
information regarding the Composting
Facility to the Community of East River
and to speedily address any concerns
regarding the Composting Facility raised
by the residents of the Community or
other parties.
